some will Some will have to face two weeks in total without POWER
Frustrated comments have flooded in from people on social media as some households are going into their second week without power.
ESB Networks has restored power to 721,000 homes, farms and businesses., while around 47,000 customers remain without supply.
Restoration work is continuing, ESB assures, and in the areas with the largest number of faults, some customers may see their Estimated Restoration Times change over the coming days.
One person on X shared: "My 82 year old father is heading into his second week of no heating, no shower, no light, not able to cook and living alone and it was supposed to come back 2 nights ago and keeps changing. We just wish we knew when and it didn’t keep changing every day".
Another person said, "Nope we still have no power and no one has come near us , day 9 for us and 9 other families."

"Day 8, due back yesterday and now update says 3 Feb. Inverin Connemara. It’s too much to dealt with now," an X user said.
"Congratulations, I hope you are all proud of all the overtime you've clocked up. But my dad still has no power, with six visits from crews, he is a 86 year old man. Shame on you guys. Cremartin Castleblayney. Can someone contact us please," another X user said.
