Following the first episode of the series, 'Love Me For A Reason' fans slammed Louis Walsh as an "awful man" as they shared their thoughts on X/Twitter.

One person posted: "Just watching the Boyzone documentary ….what a vile man Louis Walsh is/was…utterly vile..they were 16/17 and he treated them as commodities not people at all Awful man"

Among others weighing in on the series, Irish singer and former One Direction member Niall Horan said: "I mean I’ve always given Louis Walsh something of the benefit of the doubt but after watching #BoyzoneNoMatterWhat he really comes across as a very cold, vile man. And I have to say I eat that entire documentary up in one night. Love that Mikey seems the happiest of them"

Another person said: "Be prepared to want to throw things at the TV when Louis Walsh is talking in the Boyzone documentary. And the journalists who wrote the stories based on LW lies and the papers for printing them. Closeting in plain sight but without actually admitting it. They deserved better."

Another posted: "The tabloid press and Louis Walsh should be very very ashamed of themselves for the story of Stephen Gately's "coming out" My heart hurts watching the boyzone documentary. I love the honestly of the boyzone lads, there's accountability for Mikey's mental health, and there's heartache for Stephen.

"Louis I am sorry but I always thought you were a legend. Until watching this documentary. Absolute snake! You show no remorse or accountability in anything other than wanting the praise for their success. It wasn't success if you weren't looking after their wellbeings! And the tabloid press, well they will never feel remorse evidently Very very sad to watch #Boyzone"

Boyzone: No Matter What is available to watch in full exclusively on Sky Documentaries, on demand via SkyGo or by streaming on NOW.
