Gardai say arrests were made in Tallaght area of Dublin within 90 minutes of the alarm being raised following incident at Castletown, Celbridge
A man and a woman are being questioned by gardai following an incident during which a woman was allegedly falsely imprisoned.
Gardaí say they are investigating the incident which occurred in Castletown, Celbridge, County Kildare yesterday shortly after 10pm on Monday.
An investigation was launched as soon as the alarm was raised and the arrests were made shortly before midnight.
"Following patrols carried out by Gardaí from Kildare North Community Engagement and DMR South Crime Tallaght, two individuals were arrested in Tallaght, Dublin 24 in relation to this incident within 90 minutes of gardaí first being alerted," said a spokesperson.
The woman and the man, both aged in their 30s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in the eastern region.

Further details of the incident have not been disclosed publicly but gardai say the scene has been preserved for technical examination.
