RIP: Gardaí seek witnesses following fatal road traffic incident in busy Tipperary town

The driver, a man, was discovered unresponsive at the scene

A man aged in his 40s has died following a road traffic incident in Tipperary, it has been confirmed. 

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatality, which took place on the R445 at Nenagh on Wednesday, August 6. 

Shortly after 10:10pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to an incident involving a single vehicle outside a premises on the Old Dublin Road, Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
 
The driver, a man, was discovered unresponsive at the scene. He received medical treatment and was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
 
The scene was preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
 
Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses who may have any information regarding the incident to come forward.
 
Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, who were travelling in the Nenagh area between 9pm and 10:30pm on Wednesday, August 6 are asked to share this material with Gardaí.
