Garda on motorcycle hospitalised after crash with car amid urgent footage appeal
A garda has been hospitalised after the motorcycle they were travelling on was in collision with a car in Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the road traffic collision on Churchtown Road Upper, Dundrum, Dublin 14. It happened on Tuesday morning, August 19 shortly before 10am.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident involving a car and Garda motorcycle.
The on-duty Garda member was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
A Garda statement says welfare supports have been made available to the Garda by local management.
No other injuries are reported.
The road which had been closed for a period of time has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area between 9:30am and 10:00am this morning, 19th August 2025, are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
