A warning has been issued to Irish parents as Shein has issued an urgent recall of one of its popular children's products due to safety concerns.

According to the notice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), a choking risk has been reported with a Crab Shaped Toy sold on the online marketplace.

Small parts can detach from the toy and become accessible for children, posing a risk of choking if ingested.

Customers who may have purchased one of these toys have been urged to "stop use immediately." Parents have also been told to "discard" the toy and keep it out of reach of children.

The CCPC said there are approximately 73 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

They added that if customers wish to contact SHEIN for a refund or have any concerns or questions about this product, they can contact Shein customer services by email at eurcsteam@shein.com.
