Writing about the announcement Cllr Ben Ward said:
"I welcome the announcement that 209 new special classes have been sanctioned by the NCSE for the coming school year of 2025/2026. It is intended that more classes will be announced soon.
I am passionate about education equality and will continue to advocate for more special education supports. I am particularly aware of the lack of a special education class at primary level in Tullow town. This is something I am continually working towards."
