On Valentines week Carlow is revealed as Ireland's most loved-up County
An Aldi Valentine's Day survey has crowned Carlow the top of the romance pile in Ireland
In a new survey conducted by ALDI Ireland, with over 26 counties survey and over 2,000 people, Carlow has been voting the most romantic County in Ireland!
It seems like love is definitely on the cards as ALDI notes the high number of those planning to celebrate the day of love and with 41% of those surveyed planning to celebrate it at home this month! With just under 70%* of the population describing themselves as “romantic”.

The survey also revealed that the Gen Z’s are leading the charge in celebrating love. Among those aged 18-24, a remarkable 55% view Valentine’s Day as an exciting opportunity to express their love. Meanwhile, 51% of lovebirds aged 35-44 prefer to celebrate at home, creating memorable and cosy moments with their loved ones.
