Parts of Carlow museum could be changed to new start-up business hubs

Planning permission has been sought for four new start-up business hubs to be built in Carlow
Parts of a museum in Carlow are set to get a new lease of life as planning permission has been sought for four new “start-up business hubs.”
Tom O'Neill has sought permission from Carlow County Council to change the use of the first-floor area of the Goodly Barrow Café and Museum.
At the moment, the space is used as a storage area, with the hope of using it as a meeting or community function room.
Permission has also been requested to change the use of the existing indoor car parking spaces at the site at Ballyellin, Goresbridge, Carlow.
The change would see four start-up business hubs be built.
Planning permission has also been sought for all associated site works as well.
The building at Goodly Barrow is a Protected Structure CW124A, as it was a former Mill Building.
The application was made on August 26th, and a decision is due by October 20th.
Submissions must be made by the 29th of September.
