What do you think?

Sinn Féin candidate in the Presidential Election last year, Liadh Ní Riada, still has an election poster up in Bagenalstown in Carlow almost five months after the election.

The poster is secured to a pole on the Royal Oak Road near the hardware stores just before the bridge on the R724.

Candidates whose election posters are still up in public more than seven days after an election face a fine of €150 per poster from the relevant local authority.

The Presidential Election was held in October of last year and the people returned the incumbent Michael D. Higgins for a second term in office with over 800,000 votes.

Ms Ní Riada came fourth with 93,987 votes.

Carlow Live has contacted the Sinn Féin press office for comment.
