Planning sought for over 50 new homes to be built just outside of Carlow town

Planning permission has been sought for 52 homes to be built in Mortarstown just outside of Carlow Town.

It was sought by Ballon Property Holdings on October 24. 

The development would consist of 52 homes in the form of apartments and town houses.

There will be three buildings with four two-bedroomed apartments and four two-bedroomed town houses constructed.

There would also be three buildings consisting of two two-bedroomed apartments on the ground floor with own door access and two three-bedroomed duplex apartments. 

Another two buildings each with two two-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom town houses would be built alongside two more buildings with two two-bedroom apartments and two three-bedroom town houses. 

Planning has also been requested for all associated parking spaces, an open public space, water and utility services and connections, and a new site entrance. 

Submissions are allowed up until November 27 and a decision is due on or before December 18. 

Ballon Property Holdings had previously submitted an application for the housing development on October 21 but it was incomplete and therefore had to be submitted again.
