Proposal for Tullow to be 'twined' to small town in the Spain

The proposal was on the agenda for the recent Carlow County Council meeting, as Tullow has never been formally twined
At the most recent April meeting of the Carlow County Council, approval to travel to the small Spanish town of Maria de Huerva was on the meetings agenda.
The purpose of the travel on the agenda was to formally twin the Spanish Town to Tullow in County Carlow as a "friend of the Carlow MD saw links between the towns" according to Councillor Brian O'Donoghue.
The two Councillors proposed to go on the travels to formally twin Tullow is Cllr Ben Ward and Cllr Brian O'Donoghue.
The benefits of such travel would be for both towns and would be of "cultural and economic" benefit says Cllr O'Donoghue.
