Tributes paid to a local Carlow man from Borris following his passing

Tipperary sports club pays tribute to Norman Rankin, a member for over 50 years

Tributes have paid following the death of Jim O'Shea of Ballyroughan, Borris, County Carlow.

Jim passed away in St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny on Tuesday the 14th of May 2024.

Predeceased by his brothers Pat and Tom and his sisters Mary and Josie. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, relatives and neighbours.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie:

"Condolences to the extended Fogarty Famiy on the death of your Uncle Jim, thinking of you all at this sad time.

The Wilde Family, Skerries."

Another reads: "Sincere sympathy to Noel and immediate Fogarty and Shea families all Jim’s nieces nephews and friends our thoughts are with ye at this sad time Jim was great neighbour and friend when he was down in Tinnecarrig may Jim rest in peace."

A third tribute reads: "Sincere sympathy to the O’Shea and Fogarty families. Jim was a great sheep man in Borris Mart.
May he rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at his nephew Noel Fogarty's residence, Old Grange, Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny (R95 VE20) on Wednesday, 15th May, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Removal on Thursday for 11:00 AM Mass at the Sacred Heart Church, Borris with burial afterwards in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home for their kindness and care to Jim
