INTERESTED IN THE TOURISM & HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY?

Learning for Life is about giving you the skills to work in the tourism and hospitality sector. It is supported by Diageo Ireland and is free of charge to participants.

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAMME?

The training is 5 days a week for 3 weeks followed by 1 week of work experience. The course will be face to face and will include:

  • Face to face at a central location in Kilkenny
  • Travel costs to the venues will be covered
  • Learners will get a behind the scenes tour of Smithwick’s Experience

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME COVER?

The course will cover key tourism and hospitality skills, Mixology, Barista Training, Bar and Food Service skills, Tourism Site Visits and Customer Service Excellence.

CAN I APPLY FOR THE PROGRAMME?

If you are interested in a career in hospitality, this is a great course to get you started. It is open to over 18’s only.
