The fault occurred just before lunchtime on Tuesday
Power has been restored in Tullow after a fault affected 1,048 customers, the ESB has confirmed.
In a statement to Carlow Live, the ESB said: "ESB Networks can confirm that approximately 1,048 homes and businesses in the Tullow area lost supply at around 1pm on Tuesday, October 9."
Crews were dispatched to investigate the cause of the outage and restored power to all impacted customers.
