Upgraded sewage treatment system for Powerstown to reduce amount of leachate removed

An upgraded sewage treatment system for Powerstown is to be installed, Carlow Council have said.

The aim of the upgrade - which is in process - is to reduce the amount of leachate being removed from the site. 

Meanwhile, maintenance work has been completed on the roof of the leachate holding tank.
