CARLOW WEATHER: Sunny spells & showery rain with better dry spells indicated for early next week
Thursday will see a good deal of cloud at first with limited sunny spells and some patchy drizzle, mist and fog.
Better sunny spells will develop through the morning but becoming breezy as moderate to fresh southeasterly winds develop.
Showery rain will push in from the west through the late afternoon and evening, turning heavy at times.
Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.
Tonight showery rain will clear northeastwards through the first half of the night as moderate to fresh southeasterly winds ease southwesterly for a time allowing mist and hill fog to form.
Clear spells and showers will follow from the west.
Temperatures not falling below 12 to 15 degrees.

Friday 11th August will bring sunny spells and scattered blustery showers, some heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms, driest in the southeast.
Highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty south to southwest winds.
National Outlook: Generally unsettled and breezy through the weekend with rain or showers, heavy at times. Temperatures around or slightly above average for the time of year. Better dry spells indicated for early next week.
