Carlow Weather: Heavy persistent rain to continue as the weekend approaches
Thursday morning will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells, according to Met Éireann.
In the afternoon, persistent rain will develop and continue through the evening, heavy at times, with spot flooding possible.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with light northeast breezes.
On Thursday night, heavy persistent rain will continue, bringing possible flooding along with extensive low cloud and mist.
Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees, in light northerly breezes.

On Friday 15th September, heavy rain will be slow to clear, and linger for much of the day, before eventually easing through the night.
Cool with highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees, in light to moderate northerly winds.
