Very cold but will remain mostly dry with some crisp winter sunshine
Wednesday 10th January will be very cold to start, with any frost and ice slowly clearing in the morning.
According to Met Éireann it will remain mostly dry, with some crisp winter sunshine and just a few passing showers.
Highs of 3 to 7 degrees with light to moderate northeasterly winds.
Wednesday night will become rather cloudy but will stay dry overall during the evening.
It will be quite cold too with lows of 0 to -2 degrees for western counties with some frost and ice but staying a little milder in the east with lows of 1 to 3 degrees in a light easterly breeze.
The rather cold weather will stay with us through Thursday too with the best of any sunshine to be had in the west.
Further east it will remain cloudy with limited sunny spells and highs will range from 4 to 7 degrees in an easterly breeze.
