Mild and breezy conditions with outbreaks of rain and drizzle
Mild, dull and breezy today, Thursday, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Low cloud and mist too, according to Met Éireann. Brightening up in a few parts this afternoon as the rain and drizzle becomes patchier.
Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in a moderate to fresh and gusty south to southwest wind.
A spell of squally heavy rain accompanied by strong and gusty winds will spread from the west Thursday night. It'll turn cold once the rain clears with scattered showers following from the west, some of them heavy with a chance of hail and thunder.
Lowest temperatures of 0 to 3 degrees with fresh westerly winds, decreasing light to moderate by morning. A touch of frost is possible by dawn.

National Outlook: Mild overall, though with brief incursions of colder air. Rain at times, generally heaviest and most persistent in the west and north.
