Met Éireann update on Carlow, and it does not make for good reading

The Met Éireann forecast for Carlow today does make for good reading. As they say the bad weather is set to continue for the day.

"Overcast and damp today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at times. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with moderate southwest winds easing through the day."

Tonight does not seem to be getting much better, "Wet overnight with spells of rain, heavy at times. Lowest temperatures ranging from 7 to 10 degrees with a moderate southerly breeze."

Carlow weather's Alan O'Reily had this to say about todays forecast, "A damp start for many as the rain continues and a lot more to come today and tomorrow with another 80mm possible in parts of Southwest by tomorrow evening."

But fortunately it is not all bad reading as Alan O'Reily was able to give us a slight bit of hope for the Saint Patrick's Day that is just around the corner. "To find some good news in weather, Friday is looking a much better day with some sunny spells and little rain. Saint Patrick’s Day is also looking better with sunny spells and scattered showers and up to 14c."

Although today and tomorrow do not look like the best days, we have something to look forward to on Friday and hopefully for St. Patrick's Day !
