Met Éireann warns of more unwanted rain despite lovely start to do day in Carlow

Despite the lovely start to Tuesday in Carlow, Met Éireann warns of more unwanted rainy weather to come.

During the day Tuesday, Met Éireann: "A dry start for many today with sunny spells and just isolated showers. Becoming overcast through the afternoon with showers turning more frequent and possibly heavy at times later. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in light westerly or variable winds."

Tuesday evening: "Cloudy tonight with frequent showers at first, some of which will be heavy. More persistent rain and drizzle will spread from the south overnight. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees with light variable winds becoming light to moderate northerly later."

The predictions from Met Éireann seem to concur with those of CarlowWeather's Alan O'Reily: "Nice start to the day in Carlow again but cloud will increase again also and more rain moving up this evening with another 10mm to 20mm for some areas!"

Alan also shared a post on the CarlowWeather social media channels warning that the cold weather is not yet going away. Saying, "Don't put away the winter woolies just yet!". As he warns of colder weather to persist and continue on till the end of March as colder air continues to move in.
