Carlow weather man gives update amidst concerns of possible snow in Carlow
Amidst reports of snow, Carlow weather man, Alan O'Reily eases concerns surrounding these reports.
Alan from CarlowWeather had this to say: "Turning cooler for Saturday with windchill making it feel cool but any wintry showers are likely to be on very high ground. No real snow threat for most people so don’t panic if you see some headlines mentioning snow."
Looking at reports from Met Éireann on the Carlow weather for Thursday: "Breezy today with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading southeastwards. It will become cloudier through the day and the rain will become more persistent for time later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with a moderate to fresh southwesterly wind."
Met Éireann for Thursday evening had this to say: "Rain and drizzle will clear from the south early on tonight, becoming mainly dry with clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with a moderate to fresh westerly wind."
Looking at the early reports for Friday on Met Éireann: "Blustery but dry with sunny spells to begin. Showers will extend from the west in the afternoon, possibly turning heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in a moderate to fresh and gusty westerly wind."
