Carlow weather man gives updates for the weekend's weather
Carlow Weather man, Alan O'Reily provides update on Carlow weather following the weather warnings:
"Yellow wind warning issued for Saturday with storm not named at present. A chance of warnings being upgraded for some areas though so keep up to date."
When talking about the weather in relation to Thursday's weather : "A nice sunrise this morning over Carlow and a dry start for most but rain will push up from the South again this afternoon and heavy rain across the country by this evening with over 10mm for many and some areas over 20mm."
When comparing that with the weather forecast from Met Éireann forecast for Thursday:
"This morning will be mainly dry and mostly cloudy across Leinster with some patchy mist and drizzle at first and a few bright intervals developing. In the late afternoon, rain will develop in the south. It will spread northwards this evening, turning heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate southeast breezes."
And Met Éireann's prediction for Thursday evening and night: "Early tonight will be wet with persistent rain, which will gradually clear to the north. Clear spells and showers will follow from the south overnight. Lowest temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds will become southerly as rain clears."
