CarlowWeather and Met Éireann have provided weather updates following the string of bad weather as of late.

Firstly CarlowWeather's Alan O'Reily had this to say on their X account:      "A wet start as expected and a dull damp day ahead with more showers following once this band of rain clears. Getting up to 16c though as milder air moves in."

Looking then at the Met Éireann forecast for Wednesday, they have this to say: "Cloudy and misty today with a band of persistent rain and drizzle spreading across the province this morning, before clearing into the Irish Sea. Hill and coastal fog too, especially in southern parts. There'll be some good dry spells then with just a little patchy light rain and drizzle at times. During the evening though more persistent rain and drizzle will start to spread from the west again. Mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in a moderate to fresh and gusty southwest wind."

And then looking at Met Éireann for Wednesday evening: "The persistent rain and drizzle will clear eastwards early tonight. It'll remain cloudy overnight though and it'll be rather misty, with a little patchy light rain and drizzle here and there and with some hill and coastal fog too. A very mild night with temperatures not falling below 10 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds gradually easing light to moderate."
