Carlow Weather man and Met Éireann provide Carlow weather updates for Wednesday the 17th of April.
Starting with Carlow Weather man, Alan O'Reily on X: "A dry start for most and some bright spells but cloud and patchy light rain moving down from the Northwest this morning before clearing Southeast this afternoon and some bright spells following."
Looking then at Met Éireann's weather predictions: "After a mainly dry start with bright spells, cloud will increase from the northwest this morning with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle soon following. Patchy rain and drizzle will spread southwards through the morning and afternoon. Some sunny intervals will develop between spells of light rain later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest winds."
And then Met Éireann for Wednesday evening: "Generally dry and cloudy, although a few patches of light rain or drizzle will linger. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 6 degrees with winds easing light and variable."
The national outlook from Met Éireann predicts patchy rain and drizzly throughout the day with clearer weather developing later on. Highest temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees with light to moderate northwesterly breezes.
