Carlow weather updates for the and they are not looking good
Carlow Weather and Met Éireann provided weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.
Carlow Weather on X: "Heavy rain moving North after dropping 2mm to 10mm in parts of East overnight. Some bright spells to follow but also heavy showers with risk of thunder in strong breeze. Heaviest of showers will be in West."
Met Éireann's forecast for the day: "Spells of occasionally heavy rain at first today, Tuesday, clearing northwards this afternoon with bright or sunny spells and showers following. Some of the showers will be heavy, with thunderstorms and hail possible. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate southerly or variable winds, fresh to strong at times in the east before easing later."
Met Éireann's look for the evening: "Showers will become largely confined to the south tonight, some still heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. The showers will be more isolated further north, with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees, in light to moderate southeasterly breezes. Patchy mist forming also."
Met Éireann have also provided an early prediction for Wednesday morning: "Tomorrow Wednesday will be a drier day overall with sunny spells and scattered showers. Cloud will thicken from the east towards evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in mostly moderate southeast winds, decreasing light later."
