'More showers today but also more sunny spells' Local Carlow Weather update

After a rough weekend of weather in Carlow and surrounding, Met Éireann and Carlow weather have provided their weather forecast for the day.

Firstly looking at Carlow Weather on X: "A cloudy start for many with some showers but a bright start here in Tullow. More showers today but also more sunny spells later today with breeze increasing."

Met Éireann: "Patchy drizzle and mist will clear during the day today to leave a mix of sunshine and isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees with moderate south to southwest breezes."

For tonight: "Mostly dry at first tonight with some clear spells. However, rain will develop overnight. The rain will be generally light and patchy in nature but the odd heavy burst is possible. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light southeast winds."

And their early look at tomorrow's weather: "Tuesday will be a day of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. A few heavy or thundery downpours are possible. Highest temperatures of 17 or 18 degrees in moderate southwest breezes."
