ALERT: Weather warning issued for Carlow upgraded to status orange

Met Éireann have issued a severe weather warning for rain for Carlow.

Heavy rain with some intense and thundery downpours are expected to hit Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.

Met Éireann has issued an orange weather warning which is valid from Sunday 29 September at 1pm until Monday 30 September at 12 am.

People are advised that the heavy downpours may cause flooding, dangerous driving conditions and travel disruption.
