WEATHER: 'Some scattered heavy showers' Wet weather on Carlow's daily forecast

Highest afternoon temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees

Met Éireann have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.

With some dry weather to be around Carlow but also some scattered heavy showers to follow throughout the day as well.

Firstly looking at Met Éireann for today:

"There'll be a lot of dry weather today with sunshine, but there'll be some scattered heavy showers too. Highest afternoon temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh and gusty southwest to west winds, easing mostly light to moderate by evening."

Tonight:

"It'll be mainly dry tonight with long clear spells. Frost and some icy patches will develop as temperatures fall to between -2 to +2 degrees in light to moderate southwest or variable breezes. A few isolated mist and fog patches will develop."

Tomorrow:

"Tuesday, will be dry and sunny for most. However, there'll still be a few well scattered showers, mainly in southern coastal parts. Highest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees in just light variable breezes."

Tomorrow night:

"There's the likelihood of some showery rain on Tuesday night in the southeast and east, with a little sleet over the mountains, and a few coastal showers in the north, otherwise it'll be dry with frost developing in many areas. Fog or freezing fog is likely to become fairly widespread too, dense in places. Lowest temperatures of -3 to +2 degrees in mostly light variable breezes, becoming moderate north to northeasterly in the east and southeast."
