LIVE: Carlow hit with severe Status Red warning ahead of Storm Éowyn
Carlow is to be severely impacted by Storm Éowyn on Friday as Met Éireann has now placed the entire country under a Status Red wind warning.
The warning will be in place from 2am on Friday until 10am.
Earlier on Wednesday, Carlow weather man Alan O'Reilly warned that the approaching Storm Éowyn will be a "historic" one. O'Reilly added: "Anyone saying this is just another storm is in for a rude awakening."

Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford are the latest counties affected by Met Éireann's Status Red warning alongside Carlow.
People are being warned that the upcoming storm will pose a "danger to life" as well as cause major disruptions to transport and widespread power outages.
The RSA has also urged people not to travel on Friday as the storm is expected to batter the country.
