Met Éireann have issued a status Yellow thunderstorms for three counties this evening.
The warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry and Limerick as experts say there will be scattered thunderstorms with possible impacts such as frequent lightning and spot flooding.
The warning is in place from Wednesday afternoon until 8pm this evening.
Met Éireann has also warned of heavy showers developing in Munster which could also see thunderstorms in some areas.

The forecast on Met Éireann says,
Warm and sunny for most this afternoon and evening. Heavy showers will develop in Munster with thunderstorms likely. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees, warmest in the west, but a little cooler along the east coast due to a light to moderate easterly wind.
Showers will die out early tonight leaving clear skies. A few mist and fog patches will form in a light and variable breeze. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees.
Tomorrow
Thursday will be dry, warm and sunny. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, warmest in the west, but a little cooler along the east coast due to a light to moderate easterly wind.
Dry with clear skies on Thursday night. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light to moderate east to northeast or variable winds.
