Carlow Weather and Met Éireann have provided their weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas for the next few days.
Weather conditions today don't look good but there's some light at the end of tunnel for the weekend.
Looking first to Carlow Weather on X: "The more Southern track for low system on Sunday thankfully continues which would mean we miss the worst of the winds and less rain. Hopefully this trend holds. Rain today and Thursday but cool and brighter Friday and Sunday."
Then looking to Met Éireann for today: "
Today will be cloudy across Leinster. Outbreaks of rain in the south of the region will gradually spread northwards through the morning and afternoon, and continuing this evening. Rain will be most persistent in the east and southeast. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light to moderate northeast winds."
Tonight: "Tonight will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, mainly in the east. There will be drier intervals further west. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with light to moderate northerly winds."
Tomorrow: "Thursday will be cloudy. Rain in the east will extend southwestwards through the morning and will continue for the rest of the day, possibly turning heavy at times, especially in the east. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees with moderate to fresh northerly winds."
