ALERT: County Carlow road under full road closure for number of days coming up
The road closure is set to take place on the 24th to 26th of September
Carlow County Councillor Will Paton has announced on behalf of Tullow Municipal District that they will be carrying out road resurfacing and structural improvement works in Rathvilly for 2 days coming up.
The information comes from Cllr Paton's Facebook page:
"Tullow Municipal District Office gives notice that subject to weather, there will be a temporary full road closure on the R726 roadway at Rathdaniel to Bough, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow from Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th September 2024 inclusive between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm.
This road closure will be in place to enhance safety for road users and operatives alike, while structural and surfacing improvement works are carried out at Rathdaniel to Bough.
Alternative routes shall be signposted as shown on the map below:
Local access with be maintained for residents and contiguous land owners on approaches to the works only. THERE WILL BE NO THROUGH ACCESS!
Tullow Municipal District apologises for the disruptions and inconvenience that shall be caused and will endeavour to remove the traffic restrictions as soon as it is safe for all to do so."
