Irish music icon Sharon Shannon is playing at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre in Carlow on Friday the 26th of April 2024.
Sharon Shannon is an icon of Irish traditional music and multiple time platinum recording artist. She has received many awards including being the youngest ever recipient of the Meteor Lifetime Achievement Awards in 2009. She has collaborated, recorded and toured with everyone from Willy Nelson, Bono, Johnny Depp, Shane Mc Gowan and John Prine to Nigel Kennedy and the RTE Concert Orchestra and had many hit records including The Galway Girl with Steve Earle, Its Christmastime Again with Wallis Bird and GoTell the Devil with Imelda May.
Sharon is now touring her new compilation album 'Now and Then' to celebrate 30 years at the forefront of Irish music and will be playing this show at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre that promises an incredible night of music from a true legend of Irish music. The perfect evening for anyone interested in traditional Irish music from one of the best to ever do it.
