Carlow's very own Kathryn Thomas is set to host an upcoming Sunday brunch event for parents called 'Parenting Unplugged' which will delve into a range of issues facing families today.

The broadcaster and mother of two will host the live event, which has been organised by The Irish Sun, on Sunday, 14 September from 11am to 1pm in House, Dublin.

There'll be lots on offer for parents at the event with Kathryn Thomas hosting a panel discussion featuring a mix of experts and entertainers as well as some crowd interaction.

Among the panellists will be Dr. Richard Hogan. Dr. Richard is a family psychotherapist, columnist and bestselling author of ‘Parenting the Screenager’ and ‘Home is Where the Start Is’.

Comedian, podcast host and bestselling author of ‘Mad isn’t it?’, Emma Doran will also be on the panel to give her honest and humorous take on all things parenting.

Then finally, food writer Sophie Morris will share her practical tips and tricks as a mother on best approaches for fussy eaters.

From toddlers to teenagers, the event will cover all stages for parents and there will be a live Q&A to give parents the opportunity to ask their own questions.

Guests can also look forward to a glass of prosecco on arrival, delicious brunch-style bites, and a premium goodie bag. Tickets are €35 per person and are available online.

Commenting on the event, Fiona Wynne, Editor of The Irish Sun, said: "We are delighted to bring parents together for ‘Parenting Unplugged’, hosted by the brilliant Kathryn Thomas. It’s going to be a fun, relaxed morning with expert advice, honest conversation, and a few laughs along the way.

"We’ve brought together an incredible panel who aren’t just experts – they’re real parents with relatable stories, practical tips and plenty of personality. It’s also a chance for mums and dads to connect, share experiences, and take away something helpful – whether it’s a fresh perspective or just the reassurance that they’re not alone."
