Carlow to come alive with series of exciting events celebrating National Heritage Week
People in Carlow are encouraged to get involved in the range of events organised across the county this week as National Heritage Week kicks off this Saturday, 16 August.
This year's National Heritage Week is on track to feature a record number of events across Ireland, many of which are free, and over 400,000 people are expected to attend.
The theme this year is 'Exploring Our Foundations' and the public are invited to delve into the building blocks of our heritage; not just the structures, but the landscapes and cultural activities that have shaped us.
Events will be held in every county across the country which will be suitable for all ages. And, of course, Carlow will have lots to offer too.
