President Michael D Higgins and Minister of Education, Norma Foley, have joined mourners gathered outside St John the Baptist Church in Kilcash for the funeral of Nicole Murphy.
The 18-year-old Loreto student tragically died in a fatal road collision on the Mountain Road in Clonmel along with Zoey Coffey, Grace McSweeney and Luke McSweeney.
The three girls were on their way to celebrate their Leaving Certificate results when the car collided with a wall.
Nicole's body is being laid to rest at 12pm noon today (Thursday August 31) with Father Michael Toomey presiding.
Clonmel mayor, Cllr Richie Molloy, is also among the community members gathered at St John's at present.
Approximately 2,000 people attended a vigil for the four young people in Clonmel on Sunday.
A joint funeral for Grace and Luke McSweeney, who are siblings, will take place in Clonmel on Friday while Zoey Coffey will be laid to rest in the town on Saturday.
