Even if you're careful, using a phone while driving takes all of your attention off the road so you're putting yourself and the lives of other people in danger by being distracted.

Gardaí have posted a video of a driver being caught unaware on his phone while driving, a common occurrence on Irish roads.
Delvin Roads Policing Unit members Chris Lynch and Linzi Martin took to social media to show viewers how they deal with drivers "not paying any attention at all" to the road.
In the video, a red Volkswagen Golf overtakes the Garda vehicle, unaware that the Gardaí inside can see him clearly distracted on his phone.
The vehicle is pulled over, and the driver is issued a fine and 3 penalty points.
Mobile phone use has been cited as a concern by an Garda Síochána amid a recent spike in road deaths.
