The rain is pouring down on the attendees at day one of the National Ploughing Championships, but few are letting it bother them.
Particularly not these young lads from Mayo, who can be seen jumping gleefully from machinery into the muck at the event site in Ratheniska, Co Laois.
Good thing they brought their welly boots!
President Michael D. Higgins also hasn't let the poor weather put a dampener on the day; he arrived earlier to officially launch the festival with wife Sabina and quipped, "The weather won't put you off!"
