Electric Picnic's festival director Melvin Benn decided not to mince his words when asked about bringing craft beers to Electric Picnic in the near future.
When asked by journalists at the main stage during a press event yesterday about the potential for inviting craft beer companies to sell their products at Ireland's biggest festival, Benn said that he "didn't like the stuff".
He added: "does that ever occur to anybody, I've the tasted the stuff and I don't like it?"
"Why would I invite them to be here if I don't even like the stuff. I'll choose what beer we have, and I hope people like it".
As Heineken are one of the festival's biggest sponsors, the company gets top billing for drinks stands at the festival. Other companies selling alcohol at the site include Smirnoff and White Claw, who are both also sponsors of the festival.
