Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was a 'tower of strength' following her passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Annie Molloy (nee Snoddy) of Blackbog Road, Quinagh, Co. Carlow.

Annie passed away at her home aged 84 years old on the 9th of December 2024.

Predeceased by her husband Gordon (2nd November 2023). Loving mother of Gordon, David and the late Colin, sister of Brenda, Teresa, Tommy, Sam, Catherine, and the late Jim, Pat and Maureen. Annie will be sadly missed by her loving sons, grandchildren Gordon, Eddie, Davina, Lauren, Jenna, Gemma and Chloe, great-grandchildren Cody, Kayla, Brooke, Amber, Jayden, Colin, Theo, Gordon, Phillipa, Sophie and Michael, daughter-in- law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family relatives and wide circle of friends especially Rachel Byrne.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"So sad to hear Annie has died. She was a tower of strength to many of us over the years and her bright smile in the 7 Oaks will always be remembered. My Condolences to all Annie’s family. May She Rest In Peace"

Another reads:

"So sorry to hear about the loss of Auntie Annie. Thinking of you all at such a very sad time. A true lady, may her gentle soul rest in peace x"

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at her home (Eircode R93 H289) from 5pm on Thursday until 8pm and on Friday from 12 noon until 8pm, with removal on Saturday 14th at 1pm to St Mary`s Cemetery arriving at approximately 2pm. Where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Gordon and her son Colin.
