Frances Clarke (née Rooney) - Seskin Road, Leighlinbridge, Carlow - Monday 17th February 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Frances Clarke (nee Rooney) of Seskin Road, Leighlinbridge, Carlow.
Frances passed away peacefully in St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family on the 17th of February 2025.

Much loved mother to Michael, Annamarie, T.C., Fiona and Damien. Sadly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in- law, her brother Seamus and her sisters Anne and Margaret. Predeceased by her loving husband Michael, son-in-law Noel, grandson Aaron, her parents, her sisters and brother.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Our Heartfelt Sympathy to all the Clarke & Rooney Families during this sad time, Frances was a good mother and a great neighbour, a genuine lady who was caring and kind , who was the first at your door through the good times , sad times and happy times, she will never be forgotten, may her beautiful gentle soul rest in peace."
Another reads:
"Our deepest sympathy to Michael, Annamarie, T.C., Fiona & Damien, and all the Clarke family, on the sad passing of Frances. She was such a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble for her. Her curtains hang on the windows of many houses and her swift clothing alterations saved many a wardrobe malfunction. May the light of heaven shine on her and may she rest in peace."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing at her home (eircode R93 HC56) on Tuesday from 1.pm to 8.pm.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday Morning at 11.am in St. Lazerian's Church Leighlinbridge followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
Frances' family would like to thank especially the nurses and staff at Suir Ward, ICU and Surgical 3 in St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny for the kindness and care shown to their Mother during this time.
