MOTORISTS are being advised of a temporary local road closure over the summer to facilitate maintenance works at Rathellen Level Crossing near Leighlinbridge.
Carlow County Council has published a statutory notice confirming its intention to close Local Road L-3048-0 between Rathwade Crossroads and its junction with Local Road L-3046-0 Leighlinbridge to Nurney.
According to the local authority, the road will be closed over three days - from 8pm on July 14 to 6am on July 16.
It says diversion routes will be sign posted and that local access will be maintained.
The maintenance works at the level cross will be carried out by Iarnród Éireann.
