Carlow features in this week's Ear to the Ground as part of an investigation
Carlow is set to feature on Ear to the Ground this week.
Whitehorn stands as a vital hedgerow species, gracing farms and roadsides throughout the country. However, a recent supply shortage has compelled farmers to resort to importing this native plant, inadvertently posing a significant risk of introducing diseases.
Ear to the Ground presenter Darragh McCullough will undertake a comprehensive investigation in Carlow on the future of the vital Whitethorn hedgerow species.
Meanwhile, co-presenter Ella McSweeney will be in Mayo with a farmer who has learned how to live well with Bipolar Disorder and Maeve Dineen will be taking a trip back to last September when she spent the day with a Mexican Woman who is now farming in West Cork.
You can catch Ear to the Ground this Thursday, 18th January 2024, on RTÉ One at 7pm with the episode repeated on Sunday, 21st January 2024, at 1.09pm.
