The HSE has announced it will be providing funding for a number of health projects in Carlow as part of its Capital Plan 2026.
The projects represent a major investment in injury and emergency care, ambulance services, disability services, and substance misuse supports throughout the county.

€56,140 has been put aside for a new ambulance base and regional training facility at the Kelvin Grove House site.
At the same location, a children's therapy service, including a Children’s Disability Network Team base, is in the design feasibility stage.
It would also feature a preschool facility and a therapy pool, but no figure has been allocated to that project.

"This is a strong and positive endorsement of the healthcare needs of Carlow. These projects will significantly enhance capacity, improve patient safety, and strengthen community-based services," Carlow/Kilkenny TD, John McGuinness, said.
"These projects demonstrate sustained investment in the health infrastructure of Carlow. While work remains to be done to meet future demand, this Capital Plan represents meaningful progress," he added.
