Carlow Rose Shauna Ray Lacey and her mother, Angie Ray, gave an emotional interview on the Late Late Show on Friday night.

The 'Mother Rose' Shauna took to the stage at the Dome in Tralee earlier this year and won the support of the nation as she opened up about her parents’ struggle with heroin addiction and the impact it had on her life.

Shauna and her mother joined host Ryan Tubridy on RTÉ's flagship show to discuss their story of battling through addiction in their family and inspiring others to do the same.

She spoke about how despite her parents' addiction they were "good hearted" people and recalled how her late father, Francis Lacey, told her to "light up a room".
