Parents launch fundraiser for Carlow primary school to create safe space for students
A GoFundMe has been launched to help raise much needed funds for Borris National School to create a new sensory room for students.
Chairperson of the Borris National School Parents’ Association, Nicola O’Toole, created the fundraiser in the hopes of raising money for a new sensory room which would benefit current and future students at the school.
The GoFundMe's target is €1,600 and nearly half of that goal had been achieved within just one day of the fundraiser being established.

The fundraiser's message reads: "As Chairperson of the Borris National School Parents’ Association, I’m thrilled to launch this special fundraiser in support of something very close to our hearts — a brand-new Sensory Room for our children.
"Your kindness and generosity will help us create a space where every child can feel safe, supported, and inspired to shine. Together, we can make sure our Sensory Room is a place of joy for generations of pupils to come.
"From all of us at Borris National School — thank you for helping us make this dream a reality."
