'Wet day, rain in most areas' Met Éireann provide Carlow's weekend weather forecast

Highest temperatures of 19 to 22

Met Éireann have provided their weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas for the weekend ahead.

Firstly looking to Met Éireann for today: "Cloud in the east will lift tomorrow morning to give a warm, humid and mainly dry day for Leinster with a mix of cloud and bright or sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees in moderate southerly winds."

This evening: "Largely dry to start tonight before rain moves in from the west early on, becoming widespread. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light southwesterly or variable breezes."

Tomorrow: "A wet day with rain in most areas, heavy at times with spot flooding possible. Rain will gradually clear eastwards through the evening with sunny spells and a few showers following from the west. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees with light southerly breezes becoming northwesterly and freshening as rain clears."

The national outlook for Saturday evening: "Saturday night will be cooler and fresher with clear spells and a few showers in the west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with light to moderate westerly breezes."

Sunday: " After a mainly dry start, rain will develop in the west during the morning and then spread eastwards to all areas through the afternoon and evening. A cooler day with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds."

Sunday evening: " A wet night with widespread rain. It will gradually clear much of Munster and south Leinster overnight with scattered showers following there. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light southerly or variable winds."
