Have you ever wondered what art was all about, or would you like to learn more about artists and exhibitions in a relaxed, fun environment?
These weekly sessions take place on Friday afternoons at VISUAL from 2pm – 3:30pm. Artist Mary Jo Gilligan will bring the group through the exhibitions with a different topic of focus each week. There will be conversations about the exhibitions and playful making sessions exploring different techniques, followed by tea and coffee.

You don’t need to have any prior experience to attend and enjoy these mindful, social meetings; they should be useful for all levels of experience and interest.
These workshops are for adults of all ages and all materials will be provided. Book your spot as places are limited.
This season presents Dreamtime Ireland, an exhibition and research project by artist Sean Lynch at VISUAL and Carlow County Museum, and Artworks 2025, in conjunction with Carlow Arts Festival.
Refreshments will be provided after Have a Gawk.

Tickets are free but must be booked. They can be booked online, in person or over the phone at Box Office. Wheelchair users and any group over 8 persons should book tickets directly through Box Office. If you book a ticket and cannot attend, please let us know at your earliest convenience so someone else can avail of the ticket.
